4.50C: Know that Some Polyesters, Known as Biopolyesters, are Biodegradable



POLYESTER: Condensation polymer formed from the reaction between a Dicarboxylic acid and Diol

BIODEGRADABLE BIOPOLYESTERS:


  • Biopolyester is a specific type of polymer that can naturally biodegrade in the environment
  • Biopolyster is biodegradable as they are synthetically composed from Ester, Amide and a Ether functional group
